Wrapping Up 2024: The Highlights, The Laughs, and The Feels

promos recap resources Jul 21, 2022

Hey Beautiful Humans,

Can you believe it? Another year gone, another 365 days of attempting to be functional adults while also prioritizing self-care, deep breathing, and the occasional breakdown in the ice cream aisle (just me?). As 2024 comes to a close, I’m here to give you a quick and hilarious recap of the good stuff — the podcasts, books, and artists that kept us going and reminded us that growth doesn’t have to suck all the time.

Now, if you’re one of our VIP newsletter subscribers, you got the full, juicy, all-access rundown (complete with links and extra goodies). But for the rest of you, don’t worry — I’m still sharing some of the highlights because I love you... But I also want you to know what you’re missing out on. (Join the newsletter, folks. I promise it’s worth it.)

TL;DR of 2024: The Highlights

Podcasts That Made Us Think

  • The Mindset Mentor asked the real question: "Is Everyone Addicted to Something?" Spoiler: Probably. But the real takeaway? Awareness is the first step toward freedom; judgment can take a backseat.

  • We Can Do Hard Things reminded us that "Rest is Resistance." Glennon and her crew gave us all permission to stop pretending that hustle is the only way. Spoiler: It’s not.

Books We Couldn’t Shut Up About

  • "How to Know a Person" by David Brooks taught us how to connect deeply with others. You know, without the awkward small talk and performative niceties. It turns out that seeing and being seen is an art form.

  • "The Trees of the Emerald Sea" by Brandon Sanderson gave us the escape we didn’t know we needed. Magic, courage, and a reminder that wonder isn’t just for kids. (Adults need whimsy, too.)

Music to Soothe Your Soul

  • Gregory Alan Isakov, Nahko and Medicine for the People, and Rafe Perlman. If you don’t know them yet, you’re welcome.

  • Oh, and did you know Shonna has been quietly curating playlists for all our Sisterhood events? They’re vibey, magical, and just what your ears need right now.

Social Media Accounts You Need in Your Life

  • @cleolonglegs and @Andr3w will make you laugh. Like, ugly laugh. You’re welcome.

  • @bencoleedwards for therapist wisdom that hits just right.

  • @professor_neil — breaking down the patriarchy with kindness and clarity. (And let’s be honest, we’re all here for that.)

A Little Shameless Plug for Our Workbooks This year, we revamped our Sisterhood workbooks. Whether you’re diving into your internal self (hello, shadow work) or focusing on your external world and relationships, we’ve got you covered. And if you want it all? We’ve got a complete collection with bonus content because we love an overachiever.

What’s Coming in 2025

Shonna and I are taking on big things in 2025. It can be summed up personally and professionally as: Breaking the Weight Cycle. It’s not about weight loss; it’s about liberation, people. We’re digging into the protective layers we hold — in our bodies, minds, and hearts — and finding freedom.

So that's it. It's been a year full of trials and tribulations. Ups and downs. Ins and outs.
Thank you all for being here. I can't wait to see where 2025 takes us all.
